Rokna cafe
2024 Mar 10
This cafe is what I like to call a hidden gem. It is located at such a close proximity to the pyramids but at the same time not so crowded. It can be a bit tricky find the cafe, since the entrance is a normal residential building, but the cafe is located on the top floor.

The decor and the vibes of the place are amazing with an oriental colorful touch. They have a variety of breakfast options as well as small lunch plates. We got foul, taameya, cheese with tomato, Omelette, pickled eggplants and fries. This classical Egyptian breakfast is served with hot fluffy bread and red tea. We were lucky when we visited because it was only us in the cafe and we literally had the whole place and the breath catching pyramids view to ourselves.

I initially visited for the view and vibe and I had no expectations from the breakfast whatsoever. But I have to say, I was surprised that the taste of the food was actually very decent, almost like a homemade breakfast and the prices aren't expensive at all, especially for such a touristy area. I believe that next time I'm visiting the pyramids, I'm going to definitely pass by again.

A great option to grab a hearty brunch on a beautiful Sunday. It can get really busy around noon, so make sure to be prepared to stand in the line for half an hour.

We were lucky because we got seated at the best round table inside with a view outside. We started with a cappuccino which was really creamy and the coffee wasn't runny. We got their signature Eggs Benedict with rosemary ham, croque monsieur which was the highlight of the breakfast, mainly because of the strong flavor of the melted mountain cheese on top, simply delicious. We got very intrigued by their cranberry granola pancakes as well, so we grabbed one to share for dessert, and it had a very unique taste, so highly recommend
Grunewald Tower

The view is phenomenal from top of the tower. You can see all the way from Grunewald to the north of the havel. There is no elevator, but the stairs have been recently modernized, and you can rest in between. The cafeteria down there is very expensive and when I tried to buy a soda drink, the waiter told me it's expired, so I can give it to you half price, but I was like no thank you, you should throw that away

A beautiful temple in the sea, where people gather around sunset to watch the magnificent sun set, and listen to the music of the waves crashing on the shore.

I suggest you to visit a bit early, as it gets very crowded, and the good spots get taken quickly. There is a huge like to be able to enter the temple, which I didn't do, I simply enjoyed marveling at the temple from outside.

Even if it's location is a bit secluded, I can guarantee that it is totally worth the ride

Nice restaurant to pick up a quick bite for brunch or lunch. The atmosphere inside was very nice and it was air conditioned. We tried the brisket burger and the tomato bagel, both were really tasty, but I found them to be expensive
