Their Peking duck was the star of the show. Honestly, the only reason we would go back. They were very busy Saturday evening. Te staff was friendly but hard to flag down. Aside from the Peking duck, unfortunately, the rest of the food was really bland. From the mixed fried rice to the sautéed veggies. All just mild flavored and not memorable. Their sweet and sour pork chops was good, not crispy as expected (other places were crispy even in their sweet sticky sauce). Would only go back for Peking duck on the weekends.
Husband and I love trying local breweries. Ragged Island was so beautiful decorated. The greenhouse area was picturesque. I don’t remember what we got, some type of fruit based brew, but it was super tart. Not for me but I’m not that big of a drinker. They were dog friendly which is always appreciated. Would definitely come back for a good time with friends and good atmosphere.
Pretty good Thai food, definitely more on the no frills side for Manhattan Thai places. Is it as authentic as you can get? No it’s not, but it’s still good for a more local neighborhood Thai place. I like that offer a variety of protein (vegetarian and vegan friendly). I don’t have any dietary restrictions myself but I appreciate their range. I got the mock duck basil over rice lunch special, portion was fair and it even came with gyozas as a small app. The basil sauce was too sweet in my opinion. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area but I wouldn’t travel out of my way to eat here.
Pretty average Korean street food. The kimchi + cheese fried rice skillet and cheese fries were both good. Nothing spectacular nor was it a good deal in terms of pricing. It was a bit more expensive than I expected but not crazy. The location is convenient as there is a parking lot nearby. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come eat here but if I was in the area and wanted something easy and relatively quick, I would come back here. There’s so many good choices in the area that this place just doesn’t stand out.
Food was great. Service was horrible. The fried buns with condensed milk were killer! My husband got the mega hot pot and he loved it. The eel rice bowl had a hefty portion but at the price point of almost $20 I would expect so.
The only reason it’s 4/5 stars is because the waitress/cashier lady was so rude and standoffish. She was on her phone when we walked in, didn’t bother looking up. I eventually walked over and tried placing a take out order. She had an accent which is totally fine (my entire family does too) but I had to ask her to repeat some words again because I didn’t catch it. She ended up sighing and yelling at me because I asked her to repeat her words. I felt like such an inconvenience to her even though I was a customer. The food is good but nothing special enough to come back and deal with that lady.
