Shree Sidddhivinayak Mandir, situated in Prabhadevi, in the central part of island city of Mumbai, is a temple devoted to Lord Ganesh. It was built in 1801 and its renovations began in 1990 and completed in 1993. The current temple is multi angled six storied structure built with granite and pink marble. The Ganesh murti installed in this temple has many special features. Its two upper arms carry lotus and axe in right and left arm respectively, while its two lower arms hold japamala and a bowl of modaks in right and left arm respectively.the centre of forehead has a third eye.Instead of sacred thread, the snake crosses idols trunk from left shoulder towards right side of abdomen. the temple is visited by thousands of devotees daily and the crowd is at its peak on Tuesdays. In Siddhivinayak Mandir, a devotee is likely to bump across celebrities from different fields such as Bollywood, politics, cricket stars etc. This mandir is a "smart" mandir where you can book a darshan through internate and also participate in arati virtually. The mandir complex also has a small Hanuman Temple.
