This place is an absolute hole in the wall gem that you should go with family and friends. Food is incredible and the staff is friendly and fast with the food, but do anticipate a language barrier and a “ruder” experience (they’re not intentionally rude at all though). The seating area itself is smaller and dirtier than most the average American restaurant, but you know what they say about hole in the walls - the worse the experience the better the food.
Ordered the mayo shrimp, beef stir fry, duck, wonton soup, some special fried pork, and a sweet and sour beef dish. This comfortably fed 8 people. I recommend you order one dish per person, and come with more than 3 people to get a full experience.
Shrimp, beef stir fry, duck, and the wonton soup are absolute delicacies. They’re not special dishes, but when you’re craving Chinese food you can literally never go wrong with it.
The special fried pork was a bit too salty and the fried skin felt very low quality - perhaps old oil was used. Sweet and sour beef dish was great I think - I just don’t like sour meats but everyone else at my table did.
Place was small, a bit dirty, and a bit smelly. Just a heads up, but much more than safe and comfortable anyway.
At the end they gave us complimentary Che (Vietnamese sweet drink dessert). Absolute delight and pleasant surprise. The check was also negotiable. I will be coming back here.

There is a really long wait, but wow the food was incredible. The food is prepared Family style, and I shared the dishes with three other people, so four people in total and we had this West Bank beer.
Just come please. It’s impossible to describe the food because it’s so good. Strongly recommend the lamb, shakshouka, and hummus (or the sampler platter). The chicken was a bit bland but the overall experience was unaffected. The hand kneaded bread was great.

Portion sizes are massive. Service is a little slow when they’re very busy. Food was really solid, though if I were to compare the fried chicken to Popeye’s fried chicken, I think Popeye’s packs a much more powerful punch which is something I prefer. The chicken was still great, just more bland in flavor. Mac and cheese was definitely good, and I thought the Jefferson donut was more overwhelming, since I had dessert as well. Truly an American experience.
The banana split was amazing and massive so you should share it with other people. There were four or five different ice cream flavors in the banana split. The cheesecake was alright. It was a little less creamy than I prefer and they added sea salt. I guess to balance the sweetness. It was OK too but again, I prefer it to be plain, sweet and creamy.

Great food, I think the Makai burger was a little hard to consume as the pineapple was a bit more overwhelming than I anticipated. Strongly recommend the sliders and the spam appetizer.
The fried chicken dish was also really good. Atmosphere is awesome, the bar spins, and you can see sea lions to the ground.
