The Five Lamps

Ambiance (5/5): There’s an amazing outdoor area with several tables and high tops. They also have an outdoor TV to watch any games that are on. There’s a self-serve water station. Inside, it’s a cozy bar with nice ceiling lights. There’s a dart board in the back.
Service (4/5): My friends know the owners here and Owen will take care of you! The owners are friendly and will make sure that you are welcomed. We came around 9pm and it took forever to get our food but we were content with our beers and good weather.
Food (5/5): There’s a $20 burger and beer special. I liked the burger which came with cheese and bacon, soft potato buns, and well-done potato wedges were FIRE. I enjoyed the fried chicken burger slightly more, which had a light breading and juicy breast.

Ambiance (5/5): The front has high tables onlooking a full bar and then the back low tables look into the kitchen area as the chefs prep. I liked the decoration touches. The lighting is a bit dim but not dark. Moderate noise level.
Service (5/5): The service is attentative and the staff are all very friendly. We were serviced quickly and often. The staff also speak Japanese!
Food (3/5):
Sashimi Plate (3/5): The pieces had some after taste flavor that was not super pleasant. However, not necessarily fishy or bad.
Tonsuken Ramen (3.5/5): The pork was excellent as the cut was very tender and a great ratio of fat to meat. Sadly there was only 1 thin but long piece! I wish I ordered an extra of it. There was umami to the broth that I enjoyed.
Sukiyaki Don (4/5): I really liked the taste of the sauce! The meat could have been a bit more tender and as such had a bit of dryness to them. It also came with two sizable tofu pieces. Bf didnt love the addition of asparagus. I loved the bottom of the dish where all the sauce had soaked up!
Lychee Hiball (5/5): I thought the cocktail was delish with a pronounced lychee taste. It was sufficiently alcoholic. Wished there was a HH deal because I would have def gotten another one!

Ambiance (4/5): It’s a long hall with several tables on one side. The decorations are bit sparse with their menu items on the wall. The background music was spot on for some good tunes.
Service (5/5): Despite our late dining hour of 9pm, there were still at least 3 parties seated. The service was great for being empty.
Food (3/5): The prices were were very affordable at ~$14 for most of their ramen bowls and generous noodle portion. I opted for an extra 2 pieces for $4. The Charsu pork was a perfect ratio of fat to meat and cooked to a juicy tender fall-apart bite. They did this very well!
I ordered the tantan ramen and the noodles were cooked per my request to be more firm! I was let down that there was a bit of umami lacking in the broth. There were very meager pieces of ground pork in the ramen so I was thankful I ordered the extra side.
Kara ramen - spicy decent flavor, a bit more than the TanTan.
Shoyuramen - flavorful but still did not meet my expectations for ramen.
All 3 ramen bowls were just okay! Note that the matcha latte is pre-bought bottle (not freshly made in house)
Lots O Bagels

It’s a *honky* bagel for $1.75!! However, where it falls short is that the inside is dry. There’s a nice density and pillowy texture but it’s bland. I threw out a fourth of it.

TDLR; best customer service and exhilarating level 4 rafting experience!! I highly recommend this company for a seamless time!

They have a very timely departure time of 8:30am. ~14 ppl in a van. During the approx 1.5 hr drive to the river, the guide was very charismatic, funny, and informative. He gave some facts about the volcano, town, and instructed us on what to expect and how to maneuver the raft.

Do NOT take anything with you on your level 4 ride!! Expect to be soaked. Be sure to apply sunblock to your shoulders and legs, as we came out burnt despite applying. Leave everything on the bus which will be the same on the way back. Pack your cash tip with you to take onto the bus as you will not see your guides back at the office.

It was 4 ppl to a raft (plus guide) and a total raft time from beginning to end was 2 hours. Our guide Cheezo, made our experience extra fun by intentionally flipping us over or throwing us into the water!! Thrilling experience with several deep dips, turns, overturns, violent collisions, but crazy fun if you're looking for that! It made me want to try a level 5 next!

At the end, staff was ready with towels to help dry off and a bottle of water. They prepared a HUGE spread of fresh fruit (watermelons, mangos, papaya, oranges, pineapple)— it was SO refreshing!! After this quick snack break, this was the only point to tip your guides before hopping onto the bus to the office for their provided lunch. The options were beef, fish, or veggie Casado. The portions were generous but everything was extremely bland without a healthy topping of their hot sauce. Beef chunks were low quality as they were a bit hard to chew. I loved their sweet tea.

The office has free drip coffee. Showers to rinse off after the rafting.

100 Photos available for purchase for $40 (cash) and $46 (CC). The action shots were super cool! Recommended to split the cost with your raft buddies.
