A good walking trail for busy urbanites in the midst of concrete and electric poles. Didn’t like the idea of walking alongside the high poles and other electric installations initially but a setting Sun on the horizon behind president George Bush Turnpike, a small patch of wild flowers and wild rabits peeping from the bushes were enough to make me smile after a busy day.

Happy space for family shopping trips. With brands like Zara, El Corte Inglés, Primark, AlCampo, KFC, Five Guys and many more under one roof, this commercial centre in the southern far end of Madrid is nothing short of a Mecca for visitors and locals alike. As always, I have picked up most of my shoppings from Parquesur since it was barely 3-4 kms from where I was based during my entire stay in the Spanish capital. Head to nice Cafes and restaurants when tired or hungry before indulging in another round of shopping! My personal favourite is fnac for stationary and electronics items and I never forget to have coffee and pasta at Pans & Company. They offer perfect combination of beverage and vegetarian items. AlCampo is anyday a perfect choice for grocery shopping in style.
Ample parking lot and convenient pick up/dropping points for cabs.
Elderly and kids friendly. Took my 70+yrs Mom and she was absolutely delighted.

On a personal note, I like and prefer small (tinier the better) airports as compared to the big, busy and overwhelming ones. Shiraz's international airport is nice and my type! Non-fussy, simple, easy and quick security & check-in procedures. You can easily afford to arrive barely an hour before your flight. A small counter (wo) manned by an Iranian woman selling snacks, a prayer room behind adorned with coloured mirrors, modern water unit with faucets straw, clean washrooms (mostly squat style) is all you need before boarding flight for other cities across the country.
