We hopped on a basic trolley tour of St. Louis, and boy were we delighted that this was a stop along the way (the only stop where we deboarded). Over 40 million mosaic tiles painstakingly installed over 40 years - I think that my mouth was open the entire time. It's best to visit outside of the worship schedule so that you can tour the entire interior.

One of several Paul Bunyan statues along historic Route 66 in Illinois. Thankful that the town illuminated the statue as we passed through during the evening. There is a nice park down the street, plus other historic sites within a one-block walking distance.
