Flamingo: A 5-star course! Greens are in very good conditions with undulations on acceptable speeds. The front-9 is more about lakes while the back-9 is with pine tree lines. There are plenty of huge fairway bunkers strategically placed to make the fairways narrower to increase difficulties. There are also rolling hills to make the course more interesting in S. Florida.

Mustang: At best a 4-star course! Some greens and fairways do have burned spots. These spots on the greens do not affect putting; in fact, the green speeds are very good too. This is a much simpler course with wide-open fairways than the Flamigo.

It's recommended to check for aerification schedules before making reservations in the summer.

The pictures are mostly from the Flamingo course except the last one with a par3 from the Mustang.
Looks like not many visitors know about this wonderful place. It's awesome to walk around the sport field and also able to see the skylines of the lower Manhattan.

Playing here is like fire and ice --- a totally two different types of experiences between the front and the back 9. The front 9 has much more dry land areas while the back 9 is surrounded by water almost on every hole. The overall conditions from tee boxes to greens are very good. The greens are smooth with very good speed on undulating surfaces. There are a few intimidating holes when playing from the Black tee. I almost made a hole-in-one on #17 from the Black.
A very good private club in a very nice community. The holes are beautiful with narrower faiways due to either red or white sticks on both sides. These type of layouts are typical in the West coast FL which create additional complexities for the players. The greens are small with plenty of undulation. The greens were a little sandy but runs fine. They should be much better in a week or so. A 4-star is mainly due to sandy greens. Highly recommended!
10/12/2022: Although some are still with patches of weeds, the greens are getting much better with good speed. The greens are hard so it's better to have high approach shots to ensure they stay on. It's a tough and long course.

07/27/2022: It's a fun and challenging course with views of Key Biscayne. There are some forced longs and strategic dogleg shots. The greens are small with very good speed and plenty of undulations. The fairways are the worst parts of the course since they are very rough and yellowish, probably due to a recent punch. Luckily, we didn't see a mosquito issue as other reviewers mentioned and the staff treated us well. With a $110 price tag during the summer, I think it's very overprice given its overall conditions and no complimentary of the range. There are much better courses in S Florida with reasonable green fees. I would come back to play it if I can get a better green fee before the summer ends.
