Quiet place to relax or a hilly shortcut between Wickham Terrace and Turbot Street. Popular with early morning walkers and joggers, especially those taking on the Jacobs Ladder challenge.
State Heritage Listed 19th Century gold mining town. Heritage centre display includes plate photograph images from the 1870s giving an insight into what life was like during Hill Ends heyday. Many walking tracks to explore, a mine tour, and food options in town. Two nearby caravan/ camping ground options.
Must see exhibition which includes the extraordinary photographic record made during Hill Ends 1870s heyday. Interesting exhibition includes mining displays and short film about town establishment and subsequent State Heritage Listing.
