La Pasta

Small restaurant. As a local I would have walked past it because it's in the middle of the tourist zone and you wouldn't expect good pasta there but I was pleasantly surprised.

Also: for dessert we had the cheesecake which was easily in the top 3 of all the cheesecakes I've ever had.

Prices are quite decent, especially considering where the restaurant is located.

Staff is veryvery friendly even though it would not be necessary because of where it is.

Downside is clearly the location itself. There are quite a lot of people in the restaurant and you sit quite closely, so a conversation might not be easy because of the noise level. The quality of the food would actually deserve a better and less touristy location.
Was in Lausanne for a meeting and promised the most beautiful terrace of the city. Was not disappointed - of course the weather also played it's part.

The menu had a wide range of local wines wnd dishes, the food was excellent (ate too much, totally worth it). Staff was very nice and helpful, despite my terrible French.

Pop-up restaurant that is in a former rope factory during a few weeks each year. It's quite a unique experience and the atmosphere and mood there is fantastic. The food was delicious and seemed very authentic, maybe a little on the hotter side. I definately liked it and it is a good "once-a-year-experience" especially with a few friends. There are a few things to consider before making a reservation though:
- According to the reservation e-mail you will be charged for a full menu if you do not show up. Fine with me but important to know
- The dishes use a lot of cilantro - again only judging a little but important to know if you are a person who hates cilantro
- it is very expensive. Even for Zurich.
