All buildings get bad reviews. Google every single landlord and you’ll see. It’s impossible to please everyone with such a huge building with constant turnovers. Everyone who do take the time to post are mostly complaints so it’s not fair to judge based on a few reviews. With 191 apartments, more than
500 turned over vacancies since listed in StreetEasy and Trulia, I say less than 10
negative reviews throughout the years is an excellent number.
My husband and I have moved a lot. I’ve had my fair share of good and bad managements. Aside from this, we interact with tenants and landlords throughout the city due to our work so we get the inside scoop. At the top of my head I can give you a list of the top 5 worst landlords in the city or 50 worst residential buildings (they own) that have HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of complaints. Those are the buildings to avoid not this one.
I’ve lived here for more than 8 yrs and my husband and I would NEVER stay this long if the staff and super weren’t impeccable. Sedji is a very helpful super who works to please tenants and Brandon is the best doorman I’ve had in decades. Bogdan is the most helpful repairman. Repairs here are done the same day requested through a portal that sends you an email once it’s finished.

This neighborhood eatery earns major points for being open every day of the week and serving a wide-ranging, delicious menu. Staff is welcoming and upbeat and the breakfasts, lunches and dinners all have kid-friendly alternatives. Among the options here are a downright delectable corned beef sandwich, an array of omelets, a host of fresh and healthy Mediterranean salads, and a surprising variety of seafood dishes. This is not your typical Jerusalem fare.
A non-kosher restaurant located in the renovated Ottoman-era First Train Station. The seasonally changing chef menu is still among the best in town, specializing in seafood and fresh fish, chef’s dishes from Italy and France Mediterranean fusion and a selection of high quality wines. Every dish we ordered was excellent! Standouts to look for include a heavenly gnocchi with porcini and chestnuts; pasta and calamari in curry and apple sauce; seaweed risotto with calamari and split blue crab. In winter, the palate-warming chestnut soup appetizer reappears on the menu and must be tried. After 10pm, when Adom becomes more of a wine bar and pick-up spot, a menu of tapas-style dishes and half-portions becomes available. The bar is excellent, as are desserts.
If you are looking for a truly out-of-the-ordinary meal, Abraxas Tzafon by celebrity chef Eyal Shani is a special experience. The food is brought out on pieces of paper or in paper bags. You are not given dishes to eat in, but instead eat on a paper tablecloth. The menu changes daily depending on what is freshest in the market. Abraxas Tzafon is a unique, innovative and fun spot. Everything we ate was absolutely given thought to in terms of flavour and presentation. Expect well-executed dishes, served in a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a must when in Tel Aviv. We tried a lot of dishes; our bill was ₪1,500 ($420) for a party of three.
Have a meal at Old Man and the Sea. It’s quite a unique dining experience by the water. It’s well-known in Israel. We even brought our dogs with us. Read my review on it.
