Cook is a very talented Vietnamese lady who single-handedly fries each hkm and ckt in turn. I’d say her skills really on par with local hawkers.

Hkm $4 is generous plate with a lot of chap and strong prawn stock taste. Mee is so well-cooked. Comes with 2 fresh prawns, some pork belly slices, chewy sotong and best of all big cubes of nice and crispy pork lard. Chili is very good too.

Her ckt at $3.50 is a lighter version, nice savoury taste and very good wok hei. Good kway teow used, very smooth tasting. Not too oily. Fish cakes, few fresh hums and lup cheong added.

Manned by a mother and son team from Malaysia, this #wtm stall simply named ‘Fried Wanton Noodle’ is as its name suggests, famous for their fried wanton.

But it’s no ordinary wanton, but actually fish dumpling with very soft fillings and chestnuts and veggie bits wrapped by very crispy skin. For $4, you get 3 freshly fried to order wantons topped on qq mee, well tossed with black sauce and chilli. Oh and you can help yourself to the pork lard.

Chicken cutlet noodle @$4 also comes with a fried wanton. Cutlet also freshly fried and very crispy.
So good that we added 3 more wantons for $1.50.

This elusive stall sells a great variety of soon kuehs with special flavours (mushroom, yam, pumpkin, chives, turnip, 鸳鸯 etc), yam cake and white png kueh.

All freshly made and steamed at the stall. Then pan-fried on the spot after you ordered.
