As Melb’s froze through a cold June the request was for lunch by a fireplace.
Le Bon Ton it was.
Sadly the fire had 2 tiny sticks of wood on it and it barely offered any heat affect nor visual impact.
The food was delightful we shared numerous dishes still loving the broccoli. And how unassuming the watermelon appears yet the hidden wow flavour sensation.
A must, starting with a Winter Warmer cocktail similar to a steaming Negroni. The nose fill was medicinal in the glass and we perked up as the immediate inner warmth spread internally.
Sadly the fire did not last much longer than entry and we had to drink extra bottles of wine to stay warm
A great little local place, could have been a great winters Sunday session find if it weren’t for the lack of promised fireplace.
The afternoon sun rays through the window landing on our table was quite special
Still worth the relaxed dining visit a just rug up. 🙏🫶🏾 🔥 🧥
