Located in a dark basement, not the best for a pastry shop in my humble opinion. I bought a vegan croissant, tasted fair, a bit bland and dry, nothing memorable. Staff courteous, not smiling and not particularly welcoming, just did their job in a cold manner. I asked a soy cappuccino to take away, they gave me it in a very weak paper cup with a lid not fitting and not closing well, it was just put roughly over the cup, it was not good for a take away. A lot of room for improvements

This is a old style family-owned Japanese style coffee shop. The gentleman who proudly run the shop try to be nice to make his guest comfortable. He serve good quality coffees at a reasonable prices. Shop furniture and interior are old but in good condition. A bit like going back in time of 50 years. Definitely a good experience. But of course you cannot expect any of recent dietary trends such as plant based, vegan, gluten free, organic, keto, etc.

Nice retro cafe' which mainly offer silence (except jazz background music) and good coffee to its guests. Talking loud is forbidden, whispering is allowed if does not disturb other guests. Good place if you wish to relax alone in a dark and almost silent atmosphere. Absolutely to avoid if you wish to have a chat with someone. The owner is very proud and strict about his shop's rules so he might be rude with customers who does not understand and accomplish to the rule immediately. Love it or hate it.
