This beautiful wildlife preserve, which is maintained by the Tahoma Audubon Society, has wetlands, prairie, forested areas, a viewing stand, hiking trails and lots of birds.
This wonderful area is open to the public the 2nd Sunday of each month from April through October.

Discovered these sort of by accident while roaming around Harpers Ferry. The steps themselves are a remarkable piece of history. In addition, if you follow them up the hill; they lead to a beautiful, little church. Walk a bit further, and you arrive at Jefferson's Rock. This was my favorite discovery in Harpers Ferry.
A part of the "Antietam experience".
