I was in the office of a dermatologist I've seen for a long time, waiting to be called in by the nurse. The doctor was in-network. I ultimately had to cancel my appointment because I had to drive 25 miles back into the city to get a referral (in person) from the SHS office (they wouldn't let me do it over the phone). How does this help the customer!?!?! If I had known I had to do this every time I would have gotten different insurance. Pushed out my appointment by 2 months to remove some possibly cancerous moles. Exactly what I want from my insurance provider /sarcasm.
