In my high end condo the Resident Manager has a number of prejudices that don’t work in my favor. I complained for weeks about the inadequacy of the heat. Four times someone came up and played around with actuators. Still the heat was barely operational and below the NYC threshold. I filed a complaint with HPD and within two hours the condo “miraculously” figured out how to fix my heat. Two days later there was a follow-up call and four days later an inspector from HPD came to make sure the problem was solved. I am very thankful and impressed.

This charity is a scam. The motto is “ready willing and able.” It should be “ready willing and able to sit on a park bench.” I used to think it was a great idea to get jobs for the homeless. I gave them thousands of dollars over the years until I recently moved to the neighborhood where their clients hang out. The Doe Fund gives their clients a large garbage pail, a broom and sets of royal blue clothes.

There is a small park near where I live where I’ll often see groups of them hanging out. When I pointed out all of the leaves on the ground for them to sweep up the response I got was if we clean it up the leaves keep falling. Recently on the block of “their” park a car ran into the windows of a Capital One bank. Glass Has been all over the sidewalk for a couple of weeks None of them did a thing.

Give your money to a legitimate organization that helps the homeless, not this group.
