Valley Brook Tea
2024 Feb 18
After watching the luner New Year event, we dropped by this tea shop, and we ordered the Lou Gui, the Dragon Beard and the pineapple cookie.
Their tea smells very nice and fragrant and tastes really good. The cookie was good and had the right amount to pair well with the tea as we did not want a meal as with some shops.
The staff was very friendly and explained about the type of teas they have well. So making a selection was much easier that way.

We are curious about other pastries and teas so will comeback when in the area.
Green Pig Bistro
2023 Oct 25
This place is always busy especially on the weekend, but we were curious so we decided to try it on Saturday.
We ordered shrimp and grits, a black Angus cheeseburger and a sticky toffee pudding cake.
The shrimp and grits have a hot sauce and tomato sauce base which was good but not our favorite flavor, but if you like the tomatoe sauce base, you would love it.
The cheeseburger was ok and pretty typical of a nice bistro. It was much better than a cheaper place but a little under seasoned.
The pudding cake was pretty underwhelming as it seemed like a bit dried out spice cake swimming in sweetened condensed milk. The carmel topping and the corn flakes were good, but all in all I would not get this one again.
Lincoln

We came here for lunch.
We ordered the shrimp and grits which seems popular, French toast, and a latte at this restaurant.
The shrimp and grits was good, but there were only 3 shrimp on it, but the flavor was good.
The French toast was ok, there were 3 French toast sticks piled like Lincoln Logs which I did get and appreciate the humor there.
The latte was fine and typical of restaurants like this.
We were interested in the all you can eat waffle and omelette buffet but decided to eat two of the entrees instead. The buffet might be much better so I would say try that if you come here.
The wait staff was very nice and polite and made our lunch pleasant although they were busy then.
We personally feel it is a little bit more expensive than other restaurants, but the taste is good. It's about 20-60$ per person so maybe for special events.
We did not read the reviews about this restaurant beforehand, so we did not know the pennies on the floor.
It is unique and original, so you need to see it if you eat here.
Open Road Rosslyn
2023 Jun 12
It is next door to the View of DC and closer enough to Theodore Roosevelt Island Park to take a quick walk, so it is good for people to dine here and see the local park.
We got steak sandwich and onion burger both were very good and would recommend. The desert was the bread pudding which was excellent and a must for first visit.
The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean.
It is themed as a sports bar which is not my favorite but the food is much better than expected.
Would highly recommend going here when in Rosslyn.
