Popular Cafe located in Rhodes near the footbridge which takes you to Wentworth Point. For Sunday morning breakfast I ordered the seasonal avo, which is their fancy name for the classic smashed avo on toast. I had high expectations for this dish for it was priced at $24 which is a little on the high side considering poached eggs are an optional extra. Perhaps they try to justify the price by using Sonomo sourdough. However, while the dish was more than satisfactory, I don't think it was anywhere near the best smashed avo on toast I've ever had. It included heirloom and regular cherry tomatoes, crumbed feta and plenty of rocket, but the bread slice could have been better toasted. Quick service, pleasant staff and atmosphere.

This store is more than your average green grocer, with an abundance of quality fruit and vegetables as well as an interesting assortment of groceries and delicacies. Expect to find a limited assortment of fresh meat and seafood as well as prepared meals and small goods. Range and offering is similar to Harris Farm Markets,
Located opposite the main entrance to Olympic Park station, Piccolo Me is a convenient and highly recommended cafe. There are two versions of the classic smashed avo, and I ordered the premium version which featured various varieties of cherry tomatoes with dill and finely chopped onion and feta. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Staff are friendly and capable, minimum wait time.
Located on a ramped section of Macquarie Centre near the top level, Coffee emporium isn't just for connoisseurs of coffee. They have a full breakfast and lunch menu, and a glass cabinet of sweet treats. Would highly recommend their smashed avo, which features all of the expected inclusions such as cherry tomatoes, balsamic glaze, crumbed feta and well toasted multi grain bread, but the welcome surprise was the addition of toasted pepita seeds. Very friendly service.
Convenient cafe located outside of Myer at Macquarie Centre. Ordered the avocado bruschetta for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Although it had all of the expected ingredients for a smashed avo (crumbed feta, cherry tomatoes, balsamic glaze), I found the dish to be very average and somewhat bland.
