Interesting little seaside shopping centre with an eclectic mix of coffee shops, bars, dentist, lawyers, clothing shops and more. Free parking for a few hours when I visited, though there is plenty of "all day" free parking within 100 yards or so. About five minutes from the beach and right in the centre of Carlsbad.

Very convenient parking toward the eastern area of La Defense. I used this when staying at the almost adjacent Novotel/Ibis hotel.

A thought provoking, simple memorial to all those who've been lost at sea from the village.
