Went for the Jack O Lantern Spectacular, bought tickets ahead of time so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle getting in.
Well, I can tell you going through the ticket booth is the least of your worries - finding parking was the most draining part about the visit.
There were no signs pointing where to go specifically for the event.
The roads and the signs within the zoo weren't lit either so it felt like every man for himself trying to find parking.
Once you do find parking, you're hoping you can come across other people so you get an idea of where to go.
Also if you go too late, a lot of concession stands are closed so if you get there past 7, make sure you're dressed warmly and have eaten something already because the lines at the places still open will take forever.
The actual tour was nice, they definitely go a long way to set the atmosphere. The Lanterns were so cool but everyone also wants a picture so expect to inevitably bump into people. They had different themes throughout the tour and it was amazing seeing how intricate they could get.
Sensory warning -
*If you get overstimulated by a lot of sound, I highly recommend sound reducing headphones* and expect to encounter kids with flashing light toys of some sort.
Overall it wasn't bad but there's a lot that could be improved in terms of organization and making it easier to plan for the throngs of people, especially on the weekend.
Get there at least half an hour before your scheduled time slot so you have a chance to find parking closer to the event entrance.

Went with friends for dinner, one of them had never had Indian food before so this was the perfect place for an official introduction to this type of cuisine.
We shared the samosas and they were just right - crispy but not overcooked and flavorful
We all shared an order of keema nan and garlic nan, both went well with my paneer makhani (a delicious vegetarian option), which was very savory with a bit of sweetness and incredibly satisfying
They also gave us a big plate of rice that we all shared and we were all stuffed after and each of us only spent about 20$
10/10 one of my favorite restaurants in New London and will be going back!
