Very nice hiking trails and easy to follow. The trails are well marked and informative tree markers. Just need some day hikers because the trails are not Rocky and uneven. They have a really nice nature center with maps and info. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. Pets are allowed as long as they're on leash. Picnic tables are available. And plenty of loop trails. Also a pond at bottom of : Big East Fork trail. Parking and bathrooms are available. Saw an 🦉 and Red Belly Woodpeckers on ridge. Benches are everywhere on trails. They offer a variety if nature programs. Enjoy and please keep it nice for others.
We had a Great hike: 6 1/2 miles. The trail and terrain were easy, well marked and even maps were posted 2 to 3 times. Plenty of benches to sit and view the 2 lakes. Saw plenty of Deer, Bullfrogs and Blue Heron. We ate at the Lodge: had fried catfish and pulled pork, delicious 😋 Our server: Shelby was very attentive and polite. This is our 3rd visit. We have tent camped and also stayed in the Villas in the past and will be back again. Thanks so much.

It was an amazing day going Biltmore Estate and walking the gardens and hiking trails to the lakes. Ended trip by walking Deer Park to the Inn. Saw lots of turkey 🦃 with young ones and to end trip we were very close to Mother Bear and 2 cubs. She scratched her back while the little ones climbed the tree to get a curious look at us. We stayed back and watched. So glad the area is protected for future generations. 🌄🦃🐻
