Seattle Great Wheel (SGW) is a great addition to the Seattle waterfront. They purposely built it deep into the pier so that it provides as much of a view of the city. The location is roughly in the center of the waterfront so views on either side are great. And I can't imagine how beautiful it would be watching the sunset from above.
The only unlucky part when you go at an unpopular time is that the wheel doesn't "stop" to board passengers. Hence your ride is cut short or at least it rotates through too fast. Go when there is a bit of a line so that as each group boards / unboards, you are stationary to snap pictures, etc.
Pricing is definitely fair although I'm not sure whether multiple rides is worth it.

Storyville is a HUGE surprise for what a coffee / pastry shop could be in Pike Place market. The issue with Pike Place recently is that the neighborhood has gotten shady and dirty, let alone smelly fish and dirty bathrooms come to mind. It doesn't bridge a street market experience with upscale comfort and style.
Well, Storyville at the corner building, right at the entrance to the market, solves exactly that. It is at a prime location, swanky and clean interior, and located on the top floor that overlooks the main Pike Place market.
As you climb up the stairs, you enter this corridor where you see this beautiful modern wooden interior - a complete surprise from what one is used to on the shops at Pike Place. There are leather couches and wooden tables all around, and just lounging while staring at the morning market getting ready for the day was simply magical.
But now, let's start with the coffee and drinks. The latte. You must try the latte. It is simply one of the best lattes you'll ever taste. Also depends on the barista that makes it but at least mine was friendly and simply amazing. The cinammon roll with gooey frosting flowing... my god. There is a caramel and chewy textured glaze that is present which makes this pastry feel like a kouign amann. The croissants... they look straight out of a magazine page. They're not as world class as Cafe Besalu's but still up there.
Storyville at Pike Place has definitely transformed my Pike Place experience. It truly elevates the visit. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast at Storyville at 8am to start your day at the market.

This is a must visit museum if you are visiting from out of town. It walks you through the overall history of Minneapolis, why it was essential to be built next to to St Anthony falls, and how the city grew and faded with the Mississippi River.
The museum is so well put together bringing both milling and water harnessing to the core, intermixed with history and the development of the city.
You'll absolutely love the Flour Tower exhibit. Won't spoil it for you.
If you have kids, highly recommend spending a solid 2 hours or more at this brilliant museum.
Also given its strategic location next to the river, it is awesome to combo it with the river-side walk.

Kai Coffee possesses the tastiest latte in Waikiki. Just go for the Kai Latte which has macadamia nut milk mixed in perfectly. The location is at the center of foot traffic with fabulous views and has a wooden upscale "shack" feel. And yes, the line tends to build up quickly. But the Kai Latte is seriously one of the best. Do not miss!
Don't care about the food or atmosphere. If a PB&J sandwich takes 30+ mins, something is dysfunctional. Only reason why this place may be operational is the monopoly status it has at the Waimea Falls.
