Really cool beach, right across from many hotels. We were in town for a day and night prior to a cruise and this was a nice surprise,.great place to walk and look for shells. Shrimp boats were visible out in the Gulf, just a really cool vibe here.
The path is well marked and it's a nice walk in the woods for sure. It is part of a trail tracker system, but not really part of the sleeping Bear dunes lake shore other than property ownership. It's a small little section of national park land surrounded by private land.
The path is and out and back set up with a 1 mile loop near the end, then you head back up the same path you came down on.
There is a small dirt lot for parking with trail markers. This small parking area would definitely be trouble for people to RVs in tow. There are no facilities of any kind.
