Like all the super discounts stores, shop around them and find absolutely the best deals. Forget the big malls.

Very pretty harbour area. We actually came here as Google Maps highlighted something called the World Famous Dock Lunch, and we were hungry after being disappointed to find our original destination of Discovery Harbour was in fact completely closed (contrary to the online info). However, we wondered what could have caused the Dock Lunch to be famous, judging by it being deserted (despite being open) and it failing the "judge the standards by the state of the toilets" test. So, everything else being closed, we took some pictures and drove on.

Very pretty place to stop for a breath of air as we did, but would also be very nice for a day at the beach. There didnt seem to be any facilities other than the beach itself, and parking is not free.

Always good value for everything from spices to jeans, saucepans to perfumes. Wide range, good quality, low prices. But it has a lot of competition in RAK where there are many good hard-discount stores.

Even quieter now the furniture store (was it Homes R Us?) has gone and the space taken by a boutique hotel with an unpronouncable and unmemorable acronymic name (such idiots these 'cool' people who make up such brands) but Danial is still there for a gut-busting quirky buffet and there's some government service office too. So, not a mall as such. Dont drop by expecting to browse the shops.
