One of my favorite “hidden” spots off highway 20.
Perfect spot to layout by the river, launch kayaks, or have a little picnic.
Right off 20, down a dirt road, easy to miss if you don’t know the turn off.
Ample parking , no restroom facilities.

Located right at the harbor, I’ve walked by this spot numerous times, and finally went in.
The staff were friendly, and the food came out quick and hot.
I ordered the single serving of fish and chips, and it was a huge portion (could have definitely fed 2). The fries were good, a little on the salty side, and the fish tasted great. My favorite was the clam chowder, some of the best in Bellingham.
Great location, they have sliders that open to the outside, in the summer to have Al fresco dining.

On the corner of Davie/Thurlow, this location is small, yet efficient. No seating inside, I’m sure this is mainly grab and go. A few stools on the counter would be perfect for people watching.
Service was prompt and friendly.
The only bummer was there is not restroom for customers.

Amazing spot to park and take in views of the water, marina activities, and Cascades in the background. Great spot to take the dogs to splash around.
There is a rock beach which can be nice is you bring a blanket on a nice day.
The Lady of the Sea statue is one of my favorites.
The Seafarers Memorial is touching for those who were lost to the sea 1913 - present.
Parking is free and ample.

One of the best spots in the heart of downtown Seattle to stop for a good lunch.
After working downtown for many years, the Nordstrom Grill (men’s floor) became a go to spot for a decent lunch. It has a way more chill and cozy vibe than the Cafe on the top floor.
The best item on the menu, in my opinion is the sesame Asian chicken grilled salad. Their version of the salad is a little larger than the one found in the cafe.
The dressing is what makes the salad so good, a sesame vinegarette.
They always serve some amazing warm bread with salted butter (yum).
Don’t miss out on their tomato or lobster bisque soup. Delicious.
For faster service during the weekday lunch rush, call ahead for reservations.
