I recently visited Swahili Fusion Restaurant, hoping for a delightful culinary experience that combined unique flavors with exceptional service. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by the cold and standoffish attitude of the waiter, which significantly impacted my overall enjoyment. There were two guys at food service. I’m referring to the aloof one with dreadlocks and a stinking attitude.
From the moment I entered, the atmosphere seemed promising, with an intriguing blend of Swahili influences. However, the waiter's demeanor quickly overshadowed the positive aspects. Their rudeness was palpable, and it felt like an unwelcome intrusion into what should have been a pleasant dining experience.
Throughout the meal prep and tea service, the service remained consistently cold and unwelcoming leaving me with a sense of discomfort and dissatisfaction. It's disheartening when the service quality fails to match the potential of the restaurant's culinary offerings. I ordered food with kachumbari and after packing realized that the kachumbari was missed from my order. I asked the said waiter why he had not packed it and he ignored me and went ahead to prepare. I asked if he had chilli and he said that he didn’t have any and when I asked again, he said that he could add if I had asked. I had to be firm as his attitude was nasty! If only the lad looked better! The attitude doesn’t match the face!
While the Swahili Fusion Restaurant holds promise with its unique concept, the management should address the issue of customer service to ensure that patrons can fully enjoy the diverse flavors without being hindered by a negative atmosphere. I sincerely hope that my feedback contributes to the improvement of the overall dining experience for future patrons.
