One of the most holiest places in Rome, a must visit for Christians. The plight of stairs you climb on your knees is based on the belief they are the steps Jesus climbed on the way to meet Pilate for trial, brought here from Jerusalem by Queen Helena. And the altar behind is a deposit of relics of Sts. Peter, Paul and numerous other saints! A holy place indeed-holy steps(Scala santa). To go into the place of the altar, one needs to buy a ticket (-+ €4)
A historical column with a bronze statue of Immaculate Mother Mary in honour of the Dogma of Immaculate Conception of Mary in piazza di Spagna! A beautiful place that also has the holy apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Sig. Ratisbonne and the origin of Miraculous Medal of Immaculate Mary in the Church of St. Prête ! A must visit of the piazza and the church in Rome
Superb venture in that beautiful town, Alzenau, Germany, by a Sikh - Punjabi family ! I enjoyed the dinner on two occasions! Appreciated much by local residents too.
Quiet and serene church, maintained by Indian Carmalite Fathers....it hosts the holy relic of St. Teresa of Avila! (One of her feet)
The oldest of the catecombs of Rome, is a holy place of ancient tombs of christians and others. A wonderful guided tour, ends with the Shrine of St. Sebastian, hosting the most revered tomb of St. Sebastian! It holds the original foot print stone of "Domine, Quo vadis?"
