I've been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Their Thai dishes are fantastic and very reasonably priced.

What a gorgeous and surreal beach! We had some problems finding it as our GPS directed us to the southern parking lot for Big Talbot Island when what you really want is the northern parking lot. Also difficult is that both of the parking lots look fairly similar, so you might think you're in the right one when you're actually not.

Finding this beach is worth the confusion, though!
I've been meaning to come here for awhile and glad I finally did. After reading the reviews mentioning ticks and yellow flies, I sprayed myself head to toe with deet 3 times and didn't have any issues.

The trails were a bit confusing in that the map at the entrance doesn't name them, but when you're further in, the signage has names for them. There was also one point where the white trail was marked going in two different directions.

I was surprised at the muddy parts as it hasn't rained in awhile and almost lost my footing once.

The observation tower was fantastic and had great views of the marsh.

I was with a friend who is helping me learn plants and there's a lot to see! Today we were focusing on salt bush vs wax myrtle. And we might have found a sparkleberry. There was also a delightful zebra butterfly that hung out with us for a very long time.
