We sought out a little place to have our dinner (we were on a road trip), and found Nodwell park.
It's a very well kept park with plenty for the kids to do. Basketball, hockey, some climbing equipment. It has a little track on site also. It's great. Maybe a couple more picnic tables would just top it off.
There is even a neat little trail that leads to the Port Elgin marina.
Do consider having a picnic if you are in the area.

We stopped at City Pizza for a slice. I knew going in that it is very inexpensive pizza, so I won't compare it to other pizza that is more money.
The staff were friendly, and the service was good. I will also say, the slices we recieved were probably the hottest re-warmed slices I've had.....ever. Points for that.
It definitely was decent for a quick grab.
Recommend trying if you want a quick bite.
