Probably the best bar in LODO near Coors Field. It’s about one block away from the stadium. It’s pretty huge with some large interior bar areas on the first floor, as well as an outdoor covered patio with artificial turf and cornhole boards; kind of a beer garden feel. Upstairs there’s a large rooftop bar area that has covered and uncovered portions. has good views of the surrounding area from up there, but only one back corner has a good view of the ballpark. We went on a non-game day during the week, and there were still a good amount of activity at this bar which speaks to its popularity. We didn’t eat, just had some beers. This is a must go-to-spot in the LODO area.
This park sits at the foot of the Flatirons and therefore is the perfect place to get a closer look at them and the Boulder area from a high vantage point. The park is actually in a residential area in Boulder and not far from U of CO. There’s not a lot of parking and it tends to be pretty busy so finding a spot can be challenging. Suggest you go at a non-peak time such as a morning or on a weekday. We did not explore the park fully. We basically just walked up the first incline to the initial “landing”. That’s a fairly steep walk on its own and plenty high enough to get a good view of everything. The trails go further up and around the Flatirons so you’ll definitely get your exercise in if you continue! This isn’t really a park for hanging out, relaxing or picnicking…it’s for walking/hiking/exercising, etc. So if you come for the views like we did, it can be a quick in and out.
We stopped by and went into the adjoining courtyard and saw her gravestone. There was a guide speaking to a tour group there but it sounded a little cringy. Decent little gift shop inside. Didn’t pay to tour the house. Worth a real quick stop, just to say you did, but that’s about it.
Just an amazing food hall in downtown Philadelphia that you must try! In fact, it may be the best place to eat in town! So many options to choose from for just about every kind of cuisine you could want including plenty of stuff for your sweet tooth. It’s also a legit food market for those wanting to buy stuff to cook at home. Very, very busy almost all the time so you do have to fight the crowd a little bit. But, it’s really a lot of fun just to wander through the whole place and take everything in. You’re going to pay between $10 and $15 for a meal but that’s not too bad. I would personally recommend the Fourth Street Cookie Company, and the donut shop. The Dutch Eating Place has a hot turkey sandwich platter that was amazing and a great value. There are places to sit inside the food hall, but getting a table can be a bit of a challenge. Just go check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
Worth a look, if you have the time and interest, but not a great museum experience. The best part is undoubtedly the Signers Hall, which is a re-creation of a gathering of signers of the Declaration of Independence through life size statues. The figures are scattered throughout the room so you’re able to walk in and around them, take photos, which is fun. The room gets crowded with other people, so bear in mind. They do have some guides in the room that will provide some background information which is nice. There’s a couple of other exhibition spaces, but I was a little bit disappointed that there wasn’t more in depth examination of the Constitution itself. It’s not going to take a lot of your time to go through it. Its a nice facility with two levels, but not a must do. Admission was $14.50 per adult, but luckily for us, we went on a day when admission was free. Honestly, kind of glad we didn’t pay for it.
