Iconic Brisbane landmark everyone should walk/cycle over or climb at least once. You may have driven over it a hundred times, but out of the car and on the footpath by the edge is a totally different experience, it’s amazing what you see and hear and feel and smell when you on your feet and out of the traffic. If your walking, it like links the various walking/bike paths on either side of the river. If you’re going to do one of the commercial climbs there’s various options, evening and night are definitely the best times.

If you’ve had enough of the chaos of the city, slip into the tranquility of the gardens for a bit of respite. They’re on the river, right in the middle of everything. Lush open grass parklands with lots of shade trees, beautiful water features and as the name suggests a vast display of different plants both native and exotic. It is a very beautiful setting with wide sealed walkways and plenty of seating throughout the various sections. There’s a great shaded cafe and markets on Sunday.

OMG! What an amazing fine dining experience! We had the 8 course seasonal menu with cocktail pairing. The food was just unbelievably good. Unique and exquisite dishes crafted by world class chefs, paired with fantastically creative cocktails in the most beautifully luxurious restaurant setting. To start canapés are served in the sitting room, you are then taken to your table where entree’s are served. The mains are served in a beautiful outdoor setting before returning to your indoor table for deserts. Staff are very attentive and professional ensuring all needs are met while guiding you through this beautiful dining experience.

An old favourite over the years. I come here every time I’m in Bali and it hasn’t change, it just drips with positive energy and atmosphere, one of those rare places that just feels so good to be around. The staff are lovely and It’s just a bonus that the food and drinks are really good as well.

Beautiful 11th century temple used for water purification ceremonies. Far less crowded than other larger temples on the tourist radar but in my opinion even more beautiful.
It was an honour and privilege to have spent time with and experienced a water purification ceremony performed by Putu Suciyati, her mum and cousin. They truly are beautiful, genuine humans, so in touch with there spiritually. The ceremony took around 3hrs and if you get the chance, I guarantee it will be a highlight of your Bali trip.
