Vattappara Waterfalls

**PLEASE DO NOT LITTER, LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS BEHIND**
This place is what we can call a truly unexplored gem. Its very remote yet accessible, calm and quiet waterfalls located within a private property. Its open for all though. Please maintain safety precautions while crossing the river and climbing towards the falls as the rocks can become slippery. Enter into the water with caution. Falls can get quite dangerous too. Car or four wheelers are best parked on the bridge, some 300m before the falls, and walk the rest of the way. Motorcycles can go till the water crossing and park there. Please do not leave your waste materials there. Carry them along and dispose properly.

Excellent Dosa with nice chutneys. Would have given 5 stars if they had tea and coffee available. Instead they have only fresh juices and shakes. Mango shake was good too.
A place with rich historical relevance. Very well maintained by the church authorities. Very helpful priest and guides who volunteered to explain us the history and show around the place in detail. A must visit place to know deep about the origin of Christianity in Kerala. This is the first church (community) established after St Thomas came in India AD52. Hence the place is also known as birthplace of Christianity in India. The original church structure is being retained at the original location.
