This is an average ‘showcase’ cinema - the carpark is round the back of the cinema which looks rundown & dirty with the big bins & back entrance for staff - once you have walked around to the front the cinema is big & spacious. The carpets were not overly clean & staff seemed bored. Toilets were clean, but only 1 soap dispenser was working.
Cinema itself was clean & spacious. The chairs are lovely & the ones we had reclined & were comfortable.
Food is pricey - but that’s cinemas in general.

This is fun!…physically hard work. There are 5 sections included in your ticket - also included is the wetsuit & some grip socks (wetsuit is returned, grip socks are to keep).
You can wear your own ‘water shoes’ but the socks are fine.
Lockers need a padlock (see photos) these cost £3 & you keep it.
There are 4 inflatable courses & a ‘high ropes’ course - if you manage to get to the end of the ‘hard’ high ropes course & ring the bell you win x2 tickets to return for free!
Changing rooms is just a big space…no individual changing rooms.
Locker area is small.
Life guards are attentive & the brief beforehand was detailed.
I found it physically challenging to get myself back into the platforms to get back onto the course…however with a pull from friends it is doable! 🥴
There is seating for spectators - plus some within a see-through marquee should it be raining or cold.
The water has a blue dye in & seemed clean. No weed/algae (expect on the inflatables which is expected)
There was a lot of people the day we visited (however we were told it wasn’t busy)…due to the 5 different courses people seemed to spread out well.
I would recommend this & it’s great fun!

EDIT **Initial review made in November 22.
Update February 23. The local authority have taken over this leisure centre again & improvements are already being made. This is great news for this centre, it’s staff & community. **
This centre has regrettably been taken over by ‘freedom leisure’.
The centre still has amazing, committed staff who try their best under freedom leisure’s ‘guidance’ to maintain some of the lovely ‘family feel’ that used to be…unfortunately Freedom seem to be purely a business - prices are constantly increasing, but there is a continued lack of attention to the building inside & out.
The park used to be a hub for families with young children before & after swim lessons…photos show where Freedoms attention is - unfortunately not in the places where community used to thrive.

Staff are helpful, seats are spacious & it seems that wherever you sit you have a good view. Toilets were clean. Food & parking is expensive - but it’s to be expected.
Signs are clear to seating & atmosphere was fun & calm.
Behind the stadium is The Battery - this has lots of restaurants & shows the game for free on big screens.

This is a lovely ‘English’ pub…food is a reasonable price for London. Convenient for Victoria station & Apollo theatre.
To eat you have to be seated upstairs - only drinks allowed downstairs & outside.
Upstairs is beautiful - old bookcases & decor make it feel cosy.
Fresh water is freely available.
