Stopped here as I had car in for a service nearby. Owner had no problem that I could sit here for a few hours and work whilst waiting for my car to be ready. Burger and fries were excellent and service was quick and friendly. Burger, fries and drink for 50zl
Possibly the nastiest, worst burger I’ve had in a long long time. The meat was of terrible quality and cheap tasting. These days, where there are quality burger bars everywhere, this was a major let down as I had been meaning to visit for some time. Honestly, the burger was so bad I binned it after one bite
EDIT: Was here again recently and they now do mushy peas and even deep fried Mars Bars! Marked up to 5 stars
Fantastic. As a Brit who has lived locally for many years I miss good old British fish n chips. Once I heard about this place I had to give it a try and it did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations! The fish was flaky and moist with a delicious crispy beer batter and a wedge of lemon to squeeze over it, chips were just like the chippy back home, none of this ‘fries’ nonsense. There is malt vinegar and ketchup on the table just like the chippy back home, and a very similar vibe as well. The ketchup they use even has that specific chippy ketchup flavour from home. The only downside, and this is why I marked it down a star, we’re the peas. Regular garden peas, served cold?! Please change this for traditional British mushy peas and you get 5 stars as I cannot fault anything else. Value is fantastic, huge portions for a low price. They even serve Guinness for goodness sake (not a typical thing available for a chippy but a winner nonetheless) Keep up the good work, I will be back on a regular basis and happy to give some other tips and insight into what chippies offer at home as I know after speaking to the owner that they are trying to recreate the authentic atmosphere and they are very very close to it!

Very poor service. This place used to be great but has gone massively downhill recently. Ever since they tried to upgrade the interior. It used to be a place of character now it just feels cold and uninviting. Waited in a queue at the bar for about 20 minutes just to get two drinks. There were two barmaids at one point but one decided to disappear and chat when her friends arrived leaving only one incompetent to manage the queue at the bar. We didn't order food as we were advised that we had to wait an hour for pizza. Eh? The place wasn't even that busy. Sure, every table was taken but not everyone was eating and there are not that many tables anyway. Busy is when you have a queue of people waiting to sit. That was not the case so again, an hour for pizza? Anyway, in the end i didn't even get the drinks i wanted as apparently, after serving two hot chocolates to the man in front of me, they didn't have hot chocolate for my wife so i had to make do with a flat pint and a bottle of orange juice. Shame, as they used to do everything so right.
