Barnwood Restaurant

Food - The food was very tasty. However, I felt like the price was pretty high. They’re trying to be fine dining but it’s not 100% fine dining. This is a family waterpark not the time to take your kids to that sort of event.

That being said, my kids shared the chicken Parm with spaghetti. I’m so happy I chose for them to share that dish because the serving was massive. It tasted good though.

I had the salmon. The salmon was cooked very well. However, there was a gellé on the side that was not necessary. It didn’t add to the dish. Peas not a fan of. I feel like if you’re going to pay that much for a meal peas don’t quite cut it. Also, the main draw to the dish for me was the pickled Enoki mushrooms, however, they felt stringy and strange. They should have been cut up and pickled not whole and pickled.

My husband had the Wagyu beef burger. This burger was absolutely massive. He did really enjoy it but it was a $40 burger. A little intense for a family function.

Service - The servers were all quite nice and very accommodating to the fact that we were dying with young children.

Ambiance - I do like the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, it felt a bit small, luckily, it was not crowded when we were there.

Bathrooms - I don’t believe I used the bathrooms.

Other - We were there on Wednesday night and walked right in without reservations. I am assuming on the weekend you would require reservations. This is inside of great Wolf Lodge, just a heads up in case anybody is not aware.

Food - I primarily eat vegetarian, my husband does not. So finding places for both of us to eat, can be tricky at times. I love that impact caters to both Vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

The food was bright, colorful, fresh, and so delicious. There were so many menu options for healthy choices as well as more indulgent choices. I was extremely pleased with our food.

We were there for breakfast. My husband had the breakfast bagel and he added bacon to it as well as hot sauce. He said it was awesome.

I had scrambled eggs with avocado, salsa, Fresca and bean Molé. So good! I will 100% be eating it again.

Service - As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. The lady behind the counter explained the menu to us and was extremely pleasant. The food arrived very quickly, and everybody was very charming in the restaurant.

Ambiance - The ambience was great. Industrial vibes, very open and spacious.

Bathrooms - The bathrooms are unisex bathrooms that are well decorated and very clean.

Other - I did notice a cabinet of baked goods I didn’t get a chance to try any, but I will be back to try some soon. And my flat white was delicious as well. It was made with oat milk, I did ask for soy milk, but they don’t have any. So if you’re strictly looking for soy, unfortunately, they don’t carry that.
My son is not a sports guy at all. Computers are totally his jam. He love love loves going to code ninjas and learning all he can. He gets so excited when he progresses to a new level. As a bonus, the people there are amazing. I don’t know anything about computers and they are more than happy to offer me advice along the way.
