Great Korean restaurant, they have 2 locations, one along Robson St(2nd branch). The other on Cardero off Robson tucked away in the corner. I have been to both, food quality is consistent in both restaurants. However I liked the one on Cardero for the ambiance & decor. If you go there, you will see what I meant.
We ordered the combo of spicy noodles & bbq pork & Kalbi (beef ribs). Extremely yummy…spicy noodles were nicely flavoured with a great kick to it. The bbq was tender & nicely marinated. On other occasions, we have tried their fried chicken, that was nicely done with a nice touch of fried Korean rice cake (it was so good)
They also serve cold noodle in soup non-spicy, that was so refreshing during summer. We often see lots of customers ordered the Tteok-bokki ( it comes in a pot on a propane stove with ingredients filled to the brim). I am going to try that the next time. Menu is extensive, it gets very busy… I don’t think they take reservation… to stay in the queue, there’s a QR code that you scan for your wait. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent BBQ, big restaurant & no reservation needed.
As per others, you seriously need your google translate… this is as authentic as it gets with just menu in Spanish. We tried the restaurant WIFI. Unfortunately it did not work for us. So… we ask for the paper menu… the female by the cashier must be a family member of the owner… she clearly looked bored & practically was on her phone most likely f the time! Very bad optic for the customers. We asked her for the paper menu in English with action words… she looked extremely disinterested & shook her head. We waited for the waiter & we told him we couldn’t get the WIFI & asked for a paper menu. He came right back with one… then everything is on Spanish. The waiter was very patient & kind… we got the general gist of the menu & ordered a T-Bone steak with an assortment of fresh salad.
Overall, excellent service & food EXCEPT for the female at the counter… must be related to the owner or else… how on earth did she survived that long without getting fired?
Wing Kee

Located in Amsterdam Chinatown & also the Red Light District. Wing Kee is by far the most decent Asian restaurant. We found it quite authentic as compared to some Asian restaurant in Europe. We went there on a Saturday night, place was quite packed. No reservations, it is first come first served. We were more surprised when the staff were speaking Cantonese! We waited for about 15 mins before we got a table. This is a no frill restaurant, menu was pretty decent. We spoke to the server, Wing Kee has been in business over 40 years by the same owner. We ordered the 3 meat plate, stir fry greens, stuff tofu with sauce & a wonton soup. With white rice. Everything was good & delicious, the soup for the wanton wasn’t salty, soup was actually flavourful. The sauce that came with the 3 meat was good to put on rice. The stuffed tofu with sauce was very good. The setting in the restaurant is simple, like I said… no frills, just decent Cantonese food which is a rare find in any European cities.

What a fantastic meal! The food are displayed at the front of the shop, you need to order what you want there. Then find a seat, interior is air conditioner plus fan for a comfortable place to eat your meal..
The place is clean & unpretentious. The food is not, everything we ordered is good. You have to order the braised duck, the chili accompanying the duck has got a kick, a nice kick of spicyness. The thin rice noodles is equally good, very Al dente. The soup in the noodles is just delightfully flavourful. If you are in Johor Bahru… a must go!
