Huge selection of healthy plants of varying maturity levels at great prices. Staff were polite and helpful. Walked out with plants that I had no intention of buying - couldn't help myself.
nice zoo with lots of animals to watch. very quiet when we went and seemed like a slow day at the zoo - lots of sleepy animals.
we are Australian but this was the first time we had seen Tasmanian Devils. the keeper told us about how they came to be at the zoo - they were a gift from the Queen of Denmark, who is from Aus. seeing a section dedicated to Australian animals was nice, the cockatoos being moody reminded us of home.
watching the mongoose get fed was a highlight. the farm animals were also fun - getting to pat goats is always a good time!
some of the animals looked like they could have done with more space and more enrichment. however, they all looked well cared for.

large zoo with a diverse range of animals. nice place to spend a few hours. we went on a Saturday morning in January and it was fairly quiet, no big crowds.
some of the habitats were questionable - hard concrete floors with no top cover. some enclosures also lacked enrichment and nature - but unsure if that is because it was winter. the enclosure sizes were also quite small and were inconsistent i.e. didn't seem to take into account the size and roaming habits of the species.
despite this, I can appreciate what the zoo does for conservation and endangered species, and in providing education and community engagement.
