A wonderful spot to spend the day! For lovers of architecture and history or just a nice walk through an interesting place. Definitely read up on the plaques explaining the architecture and stained glass, and check out the gardens and decks with views of the Hudson

Really great ice cream I tried for the first time the other week. Super creamy. Definitely try the honeycomb, it’s great!

Surprising find along a walk through the neighborhood. I did not know what it was until I entered through the main gate. Though there was some construction going on, it is definitely a nice place to check out and walk through. Also there are plenty of benches to take a sitting break while staying inside the gardens themselves and continuing to view the flowers. You can continue from this space into the rest of the park beyond

Great spot to learn about design in different forms. Also in a historic building. I especially loved the exhibit on signs and the creation of an international signage code. I also loved the interactive spaces like the one for designing a new sign and for creating a pattern.

Surprising find on our way up to Vermont. A bit costly at $10 a person for the visit, but it was a beautiful place to walk around for an hour. However the brochure described it as “one of the 10 best gardens in the world,” which seemed a bit far fetched and could not be backed up online with more research. I would recommend it though
