Pisticci

This was a wonderful discovery, and it's much better place than a lot of other so-called Italian restaurants.
The burrata was so fresh it was melting on the fork, served with cherry tomatoes (riped in the sun and not in a greenhouse).
The mussels were great but what really made them was the broth underneath: flavorsome, balanced, rich.
And the ribeye (a special of the day) it was cooked perfectly, medium rare as I had asked.
Fiorello could take a lesson or two here.
The Upside Bar

The bar has much more potential than it shows. It's located in a convenient spot and there's quite a bit of room inside.
Unfortunately, it's a little unkept and uncared for.
The service is courteous and quick, even too quick when it comes to the kitchen, which makes me suspect that the tater tots were microwaved (that and their sogginess).
Good prosecco though.

The place could use a spruce up to get a more modern and vibrant atmosphere.
I think that with a bit of a revamp and some more t&c it could do much better.
Wonderful restaurant in the heart of Berlin. When we got there it was full of Indians which was the best advertisement of all.
Promises were kept throughout the evening: very friendly staff (English speaking by the way).

The food is really tasty. The menu can be a little overwhelming but it's well worth. Plenty of choice, very well seasoned and cooked while the spices are abundant but very well balanced.
The portions are quite large but the bill comparatively small.
A quiet and cozy restaurant but too far from Alexanderplatz. The atmosphere is certainly a reminder of Italy, with some of a pizzeria most common traits.

No mise-en-place, the table is bare without a tablecloth . I get the practicality.

The food is ok: the broccoli with gorgonzola cannot not be good given the amount of cheese.
The pizza is fine, certainly tailored to the local taste, like feta cheese in a 4 formaggi.

The service is friendly (and the waitress is Italian). Delicious grappa in barrique.
My wife and I had a very pleasant experience. First of all, the place is much bigger than it seems, with a choice of a more intimate room. The atmosphere is relaxed and relaxing with a well curated and thought out decor.

The service: fast and courteous. What I did appreciate is the (almost) lost art of a waiter being present without being invasive.

The food came fast but not too much to make me suspicious of the aid of chef mike...just enough time for the burger to cook properly. Good quality meat and cooked well. The buns could use a bit more braising on the inside
The little accompanying salad is refreshing but needs some seasoning. Fries are good but a little oily.
