MTH management is definitely the worst. I thought Chandler Crossing is terrible but MTH is even worse. I signed a lease in the Cottages with Cabrio but MTH took over the property. When I had a tour of the floor plans, the manager showed me a 2nd/3rd floor unit, but the day I arrived to check in at the Cottages, they told me only a basement unit is available. The manager Rachelle told me that it is possible to switch to another unit, but she never replied my message after and another manager Wander told me there is no other unit I can be switched. (They assigned me to Room D but another roommate has already occupied D before my arrival so I ended up staying at room C, which is okay, but they never updated it on their system, which caused further troubles)
I then worked on subleasing my place because I don’t want to stay in the basement. I have someone who visited the place and wanted to sublet. He applied through leasing office I then moved out and returned my keys to Wanda.
After two weeks, they told me that I haven’t moved out and send me pictures of Room D, but they knew my actual room is Room C.
They are the worst management company, and Wanda is extremely unprofessional and rude to me. She even yelled at me on the day I returned my keys to her. She never reply text messages, and in in person conversations, most of time her reply is “I don’t know” “I can’t tell you” “you need to find the information by yourself”. But come on, that’s your job, and you are here to help residents.
This is the worst experience I had in East Lansing, and I would recommend avoid any of MTH’s property. I consulted with MSU legal services attorney, and they told me that they have sued MTH many times. So, stay away from MTH, they are going to make your life miserable.
