A very convenient Asian market located in little Tokyo. It's not the cheapest market but they have a good choice of Japanese and Korean products. They also sell fresh fish, vegetables and some lunch boxes with tempura, etc. I definitely recommend it! Just 100 meters from Dusseldorf bahnof.
You might need to allocate extra time for immigration clearance and security check. I would say about 2 1/2 to 3 hours before your scheduled flight departure. The excellent news is that Suvarnabhumi is the only airport I know (I've been to 110 countries) that you eat local food at local prices. Located at the 1st floor magic food court is highly recommended. You buy a cash card and choose the most inspiring food stall. You'll need between 50 to 100 baths (1.29€ to 2.5€) If you don't spend it all, no worries!, the exact amount left on the card will be refunded to you at the entrance. You can also take the rail link to the city for just 2€ (not taxi scams:) Have fun!
Best option for small budgets. I tried it after 13 years, the price-qua lity rapport remains unbeatable. You won't find any cheaper in Amsterdam. Try Motsi Meti met Nasi.
