Do not confuse this shop, Delhi Haat cottage emporium, with the government-owned open air market, Dilli Haat. They are not the same.

Delhi Haat shop has some beautiful things, particularly the artwork. You will, however, be charged astronomical prices ie 5 times what they should cost. Take your calculator so you’re clear on the proposed cost of your own currency and barter.

I was sold two beautiful bedspread sets for 17,000 rupees which they told me were raw silk. Upon closer inspection when i got back to my hotel, and as other reviewers have warned, the items were cotton & nylon/polyester and not raw silk. I found these reviews online, realised I’d been lied to and sent the driver back the same day with my goods and obtained a full refund.

I’d also put down a deposit for some jewellery which I’m not convinced was authentic and they gave me back my deposit, which I appreciated.

It’s a shame, as if this shop were honest about the quality and material of their goods and sold things for a reasonable price, hotels would send their guests there and they’d make good money. It’s very short-sighted and dishonest to scam tourists in this way.
Studio Pottery London

I used to do pottery a long time ago and wanted to take it up again, but had forgotten the techniques. I decided to have two private lessons with Gregory, before joining a foundation class, and it was delightful. He expertly demonstrated the techniques on the wheel and walked me through it and helped me as I practiced. A lovely pot and small vase were the results. I can’t wait to start the foundation classes in the beautiful studio.
