Catedral de Sevilla
2024 Feb 06
There are often fairly long queues to visit the Cathedral, but it is well worth the wait. There are several guided tours that you can pre-book if you don't want to wait in line. We did the rooftop tour and really enjoyed it. Our group was only about 10 people, and we got to access areas that are otherwise not available to see. If you visit Seville, please go see this amazing cathedral.
This breathtaking Basilica is a bit out of the way from the more popular tourist stops in Verona. When we were there we nearly had it to ourselves and it was such a tranquil and almost soothing place to be. There are gorgeous, ancient frescos and a stunningly beautiful crypt. The relics of Zemo, the patron Saint of Verona are here too. A very special experience. Loved it.
Verona Arena

The Arena in Verona is the social center of the town. So many people stroll in the piazza, chatting in the many sidewalk cafes, all within sight of this beautiful, ancient monument. I was fortunate to see La Traviata performed there during the 2023 opera season. The production was nothing short of spectacular, and the people watching was almost as good. It was one of the most memorable nights of my life.
Even if you can't or don't want to see an opera here, do visit the Arena and take in the fabulous vibe there.
