I've had a Sunpass account since 2014, and I've never had so many issues as I have had within the past year or so. I am annoyed that I was under the impression that Sunpass was paying my Epass/Toll by plate tolls. It turns out that they weren't because I switched to a prepaid account. It felt as if they were deducting money daily from my account when it was an auto draft. Anyways, turns out I ended up owing Epass/Toll by plate $500. The alleged reason was because my account didn't have the funds, but somehow Sunpass tolls were paid. Somehow they were accepting my funds. They didn't even bother to alert me to the fact that they were denying reimbursement claims.
1. You can never get a human on the phone. Their phone system will literally hang up on you if you attempt to request to speak to a representative.
2. When you eventually receive a response from an email ticket that you submit, you will speak with some of the rudest employees you've encountered. This woman interrupted me when I was speaking an was incredibly condescending.
Needless to say I closed my SunPass account after asking that she provide feedback to her superiors.
PS: EPass makes it quick and easy to speak with a representative. They give you a discount if you switch over to them (40%), and their app and website are both user friendly.
