One of holiest place temple in North India. Temple is situated in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is around an hour drive from Jammu Airport. Place is well connected with Road and Rail. Nase camp is Katra . Katra has Railway Station. Katra has multiple hotel including 5 Star hotel , Dharmshala and guest house managed by Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. From Katra you have to climb next 12 km either on foot or you can ride horses. For senior citizens you can hire doli . From Katra you have two way to reach temple through Banganga or new rasta. Banganga route has multiple shop but way is slit stiff. New rasta is easy but you have lesser numer of shop. You have to complete registration formalities before start of travel. Temple is situated on top of Trikuta hills. After completing the Temple Visit you have to go to Bhairav Ji temple which is another 2 km from the temple. Please book in advance if you want to stay at the Shrine Board guest house. The temple is open 24×7 .
