Clifton Country Park

Nice place for dog walking with good children's play equipment and cafe. Parking appears to be free and quite plentiful on weekdays. The paths are good, although the large one to towards Hulme road and back to Clifton road is a little difficult to navigate in parts and goes through private land. That said, the vast majority is lovely. The people around seem cheerful and friendly. There are currently graffalo sculptures. There are plenty of benches and the odd dog bin.
Prestwich Clough

A very lovely walk from the church to the Drinkwater park (previously Prestwich tip, now partially housing). The Drinkwater area, at least, edges ancient woodland near Phillips park end. This is reflected in both the wide variety of fauna (incl. deer), fungi and flora (at least, where Himalayan balsam hasn't taken over) - and was particularly popular during Victorian times - fun for the naturalists. The Clough is a fairly straight path with the very odd small offshoot. There are virtually no bins/dog bins, and those that are there are generally overflowing. Good for dog walking. Parking is tricky - both at the church and at the other end at rainsough brow, very little. Often worth parking slightly further away.
Excellent for walking, fishing, dog walking, running, etc. A mix of areas, most paths are flat but there are some paths up banks. There's a large grassy field near the hall, and an area with long wild grass and flowers (with orchids/etc) between the parking and the hall. The rest is generally woodlands next to streams, rivers, weird, and ponds. There are some large old trees. The invasive himalayan balsam is everywhere. Most bits are dry but it's often muddy around gates. In general, people are friendly and it's lovely to walk around. You get the odd idiot on a motorbike very very infrequently. It's my local go-to place for dog walking - not enough dog bins really, the main one being at the parking area and the pond with the geese and swans in it with metal picnic benches (layby end of the park).

Plenty of space and bins, great for dogs walking with some good paths. Bits are barren but it's part of the charm. Plenty of parking unless people are playing footy. Pretty good large fenced field right near the parking for letting dogs off when you're unsure about them.
