Beautiful location, great place to picnic and enjoy the lovely lake. I recommend seeing the location during winter, as the sunsets are gorgeous and the reflection in the lake is mesmerizing
One Vanderbilt

One Vanderbilt is a true marvel in the heart of New York City. Its soaring architecture seamlessly blends modern innovation with the city's iconic skyline. As I entered, I was greeted by a vibrant and bustling atmosphere, showcasing a thoughtful mix of retail and dining options. The observation deck provided breathtaking panoramic views, giving me a new appreciation for the city's grandeur. The attention to detail in the design and the commitment to sustainability are commendable. One Vanderbilt isn't just a building – it's an experience that encapsulates the essence of New York's dynamism and ambition. Whether you're a visitor or a local, this iconic destination is a must-see that captures the spirit of the city in every way.
The General Grant National Memorial left an indelible mark on me. This towering tribute to Ulysses S. Grant is a testament to his significance in American history. The majestic mausoleum that is larger than any presidential gravesite that I have been to, surrounded by Riverside Park's peaceful setting, creates a reflective and contemplative atmosphere. The interior's intricate design and solemnity pay fitting homage to Grant's role as a military leader and president. Exploring the exhibits and learning about his life provided a deeper understanding of his impact on the nation. If you're interested in history, leadership, or simply seeking a place of quiet reverence, the General Grant National Memorial is a moving experience that offers insight and perspective.
Paine Lake

The Paine Lake is a beautiful location in New Rochelle and is a great running and fishing spot. Personally I haven’t fished there; however, I see people fishing all the time on my runs and they look like they are having a great time. By the Paine Lake is the Thomas Paine Memorial Building and the Thomas Paine Statue. Nearby aswell is a great hill for sledding in the winter! Overall, Paine Lake is a great outdoor location in New Rochelle and is a good place to run, fish and sled!
Definitely a gem in Yonkers, and a great place to hike and explore the views of the nice architecture and the Palisades. As one of my friends said, in response to a photo I took at this location, it was like I am in wonderland. I went to Untermeyer in the winter, and enjoyed a nice hot chocolate that was being served that the colorful lights that lined the architecture. Overall, a great location and I look forward to returning!
