A spacious playground with a dated play structure. About half of the playground is empty and people play balls here. The function is minimal and lacks of a purposeful design. This playground could really be benefited from a renovation.
Domino Sugar Park

A renovated park by the East River with a lot to offer: dog park, playground, taqueria, and sidewalk with panoramic Manhattan skyline. The sugar refinery is unfortunately during the COVID which would otherwise be another great to visit. The mobile restroom is one of a kind (in a positive way). There are many cozy seats/tables along the sidewalk for people to hangout, and many nice restaurants nearby. A popular local spot for good reasons.
A beautiful lighthouse with great view and a modest museum. The museum has been closed since the COVID. But the stunning view of the Long Island Sound still makes it a worthy stop. There is a walkway to the beach which would be a treat when the weather is good. A lovely and relaxing spot.
Pisillo Cafe

A coffee bar with italian spirit, small but packed with all kinds of pastries, cookies, cakes, and so on. The coffee was all right. The pistachio ricotta was uncommon and interesting. The must have I would say was the Nutella sfogliatelle, one of the best I've ever had. The real italian chocolate hazelnut spread was used, not Nutella. It turned out that was the only pastry made by the owner in his kitchen! How cool is that. In any case this is the only way you can go to Italy from downtown so don't miss it!
Esplanade Playground

A playground with the view of Charles River can never go wrong. Plus, the play structures are versatile and accommodating kids at different ages. It includes a giant climbing structure with a slide, a big rock with boulder/climbing options, marry go around, a wooden climbing structure, and a zip line! Also well maintained. This is really a neat place to stop by.
