The review above by Jesse Mineo is completely fair. Nicholas at Astor Realty strung us along. He's pushy and I didn't find him to be trustworthy. He is nice to interact, responsive but he is not honest. He is very pushy when it's about his requests but his urgency stops as soon as you apply- From the very first showing he mentioned the apartment had multiple applications, (while in fact the apartment price was reduced after a few days on streeteasy). He got upset at us that we weren't serious applicants and hadn't made a quick decision. We got a sense that he wasn't honest but were willing to tolerate given we liked the apartment. We applied, submitted all our paperwork and he said it was approved and that the apartment was being cleaned and would be ready for lease signing in 3-4 days (note this is 10 days before the move in date) and he never got back to us. If we hadn't found something last minute, we would have been completely screwed. I have all the correspondence to prove this, if anyone is interested. There was no use in arguing with him. I just wanted to post this review so other won't have to go through the same experience .
